1. What This Extension Does

ThisPanel is a Chrome side panel extension that helps you organize browser tabs into Spaces, Favorites, Folders, and an Archive. All functionality runs entirely within your local browser session.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store externally, or transmit any of the following in the current release:

• Browsing history or visited URLs
• Tab titles or page content
• Personal identifiers (name, email, IP address, etc.)
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports or error logs

There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no connection to any external server in v1.0.0.

3. Data Stored Locally

ThisPanel stores your workspace configuration (Spaces, Favorites, Folders, Archive entries, and settings) exclusively in chrome.storage.local — a sandboxed storage area that lives only in your Chrome profile on your own device.

This data is never read by us, never synced to our servers, and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

4. Permissions and Why They Are Used

Permission	Purpose
tabs	Read open tab titles and URLs to display them in the sidebar. Activate, move, and close tabs on your explicit action. Tab data is never stored externally or transmitted anywhere.
sidePanel	Register and open the side panel UI in Chrome.
favicon	Retrieve website favicons via the _favicon/ URL to display alongside tab entries in the sidebar. No favicon data is stored externally or transmitted anywhere.
storage	Save your Spaces, Favorites, Folders, Archive, and settings locally via chrome.storage.local. Data never leaves your device.

5. Third-Party Services

ThisPanel does not integrate with, load scripts from, or send data to any third-party service, analytics provider, or advertising network.

6. Children's Privacy

This extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Future Paid Plans

ThisPanel v1.0.0 is free to use. A paid plan is planned for a future release. When paid plans become available, the extension may send a single verification request to our licensing service solely to validate a license key you have chosen to enter. That request is not analytics: it does not include browsing data, tab information, or any identifier beyond the license key itself, and we do not build profiles from it. This policy will be updated, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change, before any such request ships.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce any additional data collection in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is published to the Chrome Web Store, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
